Latest build

Minecraft,
without the stutter.

FlintFix rebuilds the rendering path so frames stay steady in dense chunks — then hands you a HUD, keybinds and cosmetics you can actually configure.

Built for people who notice the frame drops

Every part of FlintFix exists because something in vanilla was slow, hidden, or annoying to change.

Chunk rendering rewrite

Meshes are rebuilt off the main thread, so walking into a new biome doesn't cost you half a second of frames.

A HUD you arrange

Drag your FPS counter, coordinates, potion timers and armour status anywhere on screen. Save it as a profile per server.

Settings that stick

One config file, versioned and portable. Move machines, drop it in, keep every keybind exactly as you left it.

Signed, open builds

Every release ships with a SHA-256 checksum and a public changelog. Nothing is obfuscated and nothing phones home.

Mod compatibility

Loads alongside your existing Fabric mods instead of replacing them. Your resource packs come with you.

Updates in the launcher

New build lands, the launcher patches it. No hunting for a fresh jar every time a snapshot drops.

Running in about two minutes

You'll need the official Minecraft launcher installed first.

Download the installer

Grab the latest build below and check the SHA-256 against the one listed on this page before you open it.

Run it once

The installer writes a new profile into your Minecraft launcher. It doesn't touch your existing worlds or saves.

Pick the FlintFix profile

Open the launcher, select FlintFix from the profile list, and press play. Settings open with Right Shift in game.

Get FlintFix

Free, and it stays free. Join the Discord for build announcements, support and the occasional cosmetics drop.

Support

Most problems are answered below. If yours isn't, the Discord help channel is the fastest route — post your launcher log and someone will pick it up.

Will this get me banned?

FlintFix is a performance and interface client — it adds no gameplay advantage that a server would flag. That said, every server writes its own rules, so check the rules of the server you play on before installing anything.

Does it work with my mods?

Fabric mods and resource packs load normally. Forge support is limited to 1.20 and above right now.

How do I know the download is safe?

Compare the SHA-256 checksum shown on this page with the file you downloaded. On Windows run certutil -hashfile flintfix.jar SHA256, on macOS or Linux run shasum -a 256 flintfix.jar. If the strings don't match, delete the file and ask in Discord.

Where do settings and logs live?

In a flintfix folder next to your .minecraft directory. Delete that folder to reset everything to defaults.

About us

FlintFix started as a single weekend fix for chunk-loading stutter on an old laptop. It got shared around a server, then another one, and the fix turned into a client.

It's built by a small group of players who care more about steady frame times than feature counts. Every release is free, every build is checksummed, and the roadmap is decided in the open — if enough people ask for something in Discord, it usually ends up in the next build.

We don't sell cosmetics, run ads, or collect anything about you. The project is funded by the people who make it and stays that way.
